Abstract:
      Manufacturing technique and performance of metallurgical grade tantalum powder with low oxygen were analyzed. FTa-1 tantalum powder obtained through reduction of potassium fluotantalate by sodium has space network structure composed of many primary particles (also known as primary particles) with smallest bulk density, largest specific surface area and highest oxygen content. FTa-2 and FTa-3 tantalum powders obtained through hydrogenation and milling are solid particles densified by high-temperature sintering. FTa-2 and FTa-3 tantalum powders are suitable for application of medical porous tantalum and 3D printing applications due to their large bulk density, small specific surface area and low oxygen content.
