Abstract:
Bauxite was treated by magnetization-roasting and magnetic separation. Effects of hydrogen flow rate, roasting temperature and time on separation ratio and grade of iron concentrate were investigated. Separation of iron element under different roasting condition was studied. The results show that iron grade in iron concentrate is 44.59% with iron recovery of 69.58% under the optimum conditions including H2 flow rate of 40 mL/min and roasting at 400 ℃ for 75 min. Dissolution ratio of aluminum concentrate obtained from optimum magnetization-roasting and magnetic separation conditions is 86.2% with 6.6% higher than that of bauxite without magnetization roasting and magnetic separation.
