| Abstract: |
| Ferric phosphate was prepared by precipitation method, and then mixed with lithium carbonate, glucose and magnesium source to prepare lithium iron phosphate by carbothermic reduction method. Particle size of ferric phosphate is normal distribution with D50=2.94 μm. Mg-doped lithium iron phosphate particles have spherical shape with D50=2.80 μm. XRD patterns of synthesized lithium iron phosphate show no significant differences. Specific capacity of LiFe1-xMgxPO4/C rises with increase of value of x. Upon x=0.01, the discharge capacity of sample is 162 mAh/g at 0.1C rate and 135 mAh/g at 1C rate respectively. Excellent cycle performance is presented. |
