Abstract:
Nickel was washed from loaded organic phase of P507 by continuous countercurrent washing process in mixer-settler applying sulfuric acid solution (SAS), mixed solution of sulfuric acid and cobalt sulphate (MSSCS), and cobalt sulphate solution(CSS), respectively, as abstergent. The results show that nickel concentration in organic solution is 5 mg/L below after two-stage, three-stage and six to seven stage continuous countercurrent washing with SAS, MSSCS, and CSS respectively.
