Abstract:
TeO2 was prepared from copper telluride slag by copper leaching with sodium chlorate and sulfuric acid, tellurium leaching with sodium hydroxide, and tellurium precipitation with neutralization. The results shows that leaching rates of copper and tellurium is 99.33% and 10.58% respectively under the conditions including dosage of sodium chlorate of 0.5 time of copper telluride slag, sulfuric acid concentration of 70 g/L, reaction temperature of 80 ℃, L/S of 5, and reaction time of 2 h. Leaching rate of tellurium with alkaline is 99.13% under the conditions including temperature of 90 ℃, L/S of 5, and reaction time of 2 h. Tellurium neutralization precipitation rate is 100% at pH value of 5.5 adjusted by vitriol. Precipitation product is tellurium dioxide with tellurium content of 75.76%.
