Abstract:
Gypsum for cement was prepared by mechanical activation method with titanium white waste acid and lime powder as raw materials. Effects of parameters of mechanical activation and conventional stirring methods on content of calcium sulfate dihydrate in gypsum were investigated. The results show that content of calcium sulfate dihydrate in gypsum prepared by mechanical activation method meet the requirements of cement gypsum standard and is obviously higher than that by conventional stirring method. Content of calcium sulfate dihydrate in gypsum is 83.6% under the optimum mechanical activation parameters including ratio of liquid to solid of 2.4, reaction time of 10 min, aging time of 2 h, and size of lime particle of 0.2 mm.
