| Abstract: |
| Preparation of spherical/near spherical tantalum powder by hydrogenation crushing technology and property of tantalum powder are investigated. High-purity tantalum ingot obtained by electron beam is used as raw material. After hydrogenation, ball milling and screening, dehydrogenation, and airflow shaping by jet mill, morphology improved powder is obtained. Spherical/near spherical tantalum powder is produced from the original powder after its being washed by acid to remove impurities, vacuum heat treatment and magnesium reduction to reduce oxygen content. This tantalum powder is composed of independent and single powder particles with concentrated distribution range of particle size, low D90, good flow ability, and low oxygen content, which can meet the application requirements of 3D printing and spraying. |
