Abstract:
With slag in radiation zone of copper smelting waste heat boiler as research object, effect of Al2O3 addition on fusibility of slag samples at high temperature was studied. The results show that melting temperature of slag sample rises with increase of Al2O3 ratio (1%~16.7%). When Al2O3 reaches 20 % at temperature of 1 370 ℃, the slag sample does not present softening state. Slag samples with 16.7% Al2O3 addition were kept being burned for one hour at 1 100 ℃, most of the slag samples are still in Fe3O4 phase, and only weak Fe-Al spinel peaks appear. The characteristic peaks of Fe-Al spinel are more obvious when temperature reaches 1 200 ℃, that is, a large amount of Fe-Al spinel is formed at the target temperature. Thermodynamic equilibrium calculation results carried out by Fact Sage 7.2 accord with XRD results.
