Abstract:
Reduction parameters must be strictly controlled to meet the special requirements of microfine nickel powder in new materials, i.e. particle size, apparent density, and oxygen content. Effects of spray pyrolysis nickel protoxide powder in pusher furnace on hydrogen reduction under different conditions were studied by hydrogen reduction technology. The results show that microfine nickel powders with low apparent density, fine particle size, and oxygen content of 0.25% are obtained under the optimum conditions including reduction temperature of 745~800 ℃, pushing time of 1 200 s, and hydrogen flow rate of 7.5 m3/h.
