| Abstract: |
| Experiment of smelting high carbon ferromanganese from carbon-bearing manganese ore pellets with microwave heating was carried out. Influence of carbon ratio and basicity of slag on manganese recovery rate were investigated. The results show that high-carbon ferromanganese alloys prepared from carbon-bearing manganese ore pellets with microwave heating meet the requirements. Carbon ratio and binary alkalinity of slag have significant effect on manganese recovery. Manganese recovery rate is 90% above under the conditions include carbon ratio of 1.4 and binary alkalinity of slag of 2.0. When carbon ratio is excessive, manganese recovery rate drops significantly. |
