Abstract:
Process to leach tellurium from roasting products of oxidizing roasting copper telluride slag with sodium hydroxide was studied. Effects of roasting time, roasting temperature, concentration of sodium hydroxide, leaching temperature, leaching time and pretreatment method on tellurium leaching rate were investigated. The results show that roasting temperature not only affects phase composition of roasting product, but also has obvious effect on tellurium leaching rate from roasting product by sodium hydroxide. Tellurium leaching rate drops with increase of roasting temperature. Compared with direct leaching, tellurium leaching rate rises by 3.59 percent point after roasting product is ball milled. Tellurium leaching rate is 96.87% under the optimum conditions including roasting temperature of 400 ℃, roasting time of 3 h, sodium hydroxide concentration of 4 mol/L, leaching temperature of 75 ℃, leaching time of 2 h, and ball milling time of roasting product of 30 min.
