Abstract:
With TXIB (2,2,4-trimethyl-1,3-pentanediol diisobutyrate) as modifier and Mextral973H as extractant, effects of TXIB dosage (volume fraction), extractant concentration (volume fraction), O/A ratio, Cu2+ and ammonia concentration in feed solution on extraction of copper and ammonia in Cu-NH3-NH4Cl-H2O system were investigated. The results show that addition of TXIB in organic can reduce extraction of ammonia remarkably, and has little effect on copper extraction. Copper extraction rate is 60.44% and ammonia in loaded organic is 410.2 mg/L under the conditions including O/A=1/1, Metral973H concentration of 20%, copper concentration of 18.0 g/L, and ammonia concentration of 84.0g/L in feed solution. Copper extraction rate is 60.20% and ammonia in loaded organic is 154.8 mg/L extracted by 20% Metral973H with addition of 10% TXIB.
