Abstract:
Zinc and cobalt were selectively recovered from purified cobalt slag in zinc hydrometallurgy by selective leaching, acid leaching, and extraction. The results show that zinc leaching rate is 95% above, and cobalt leaching rate is only 6.24% under the selective leaching conditions including particle size of purified cobalt residue of -0.530 mm, pH value of ≥3.5, pH value of leaching terminal point of 4.5, leaching time of 3 h, L/S=4/1, and leaching temperature of 30 ℃. After selective leaching, zinc enters into leaching solution which can be reused for zinc hydrometallurgy while Co was reserved in leaching residue and can be recycled by acid leaching dissolution and P204 extracting purification.
