Abstract:
Lithium was selectively extracted from iron-lithium waste with HCl+H2O2. Li2CO3 was precipitated from leachate after purification. Leaching residue was dissolved by HCl to prepare FePO4?2H2O under controlled pH value with Na2CO3. Effects of HCl dosage, H2O2 dosage and ratio of liquid to solid on Li leaching rate were investigated. Effects of reaction pH value, reaction temperature and Fe/P ratio of reactant on product quality of FePO4?2H2O were studied. Li3PO4 was obtained by mixing solution of two procedures. Li yield rate is 97%. Fe yield rate is 98% without generation of Fe-bearing residue.
