Abstract:
A new process to separate and refine palladium from complex platinum-palladium concentrate, i.e., removal of copper and nickel, extraction of palladium, silver selective separation, crystal transformation and chemical refining, was developed. Pd with purity of 99.99% above is produced. Compared with traditional technology, Pd recovery rises from 96.12% to 98.55%, production cycle drops by 51.63%, and refining capacity of palladium rises by about 30%. Removal rate of copper and nickel with oxalic acid is 99.8% and 98.8% above respectively under the optimum process parameters including pH value of 1~1.5, temperature of 80~85 ℃, and excess coefficient of 2.0. Platinum and palladium separation efficiency with S201 extraction is 99.9% above and organic phase cycle life is 300 times above by controlling palladium concentration in pre-solution of 6~10 g/L. Silver selective separating from palladium stripping solution is 91% above by controlling pH value of 5~6. Crystal transformation rate of dichlorodiamine palladium exceeds 99.5% within 1~2 h under the optimum conditions including temperature of ≥95 ℃, H+ concentration of 0.5~1 mol/L, and L/S=(5-6)/1.
