| Abstract: |
| Xiaobeishan ancient smelting site in Jianping County, Liaoning Province was investigated, and metallurgy reliques were scientifically analyzed. The results show that copper is mainly obtained by direct reduction of oxide ore. Chemical components of slag substantially fluctuate. Metallurgical technology is relatively backward. It is suggested that Xiaobeishan relic belongs to the Lower Xiajiadian Culture based on results of reliques analysis, comparative study of historic sites, and C14 dating. |
