Abstract:
Phase structural and chlorination behavior of titanium slag bearing high calcium and magnesium with TiO2 grade of 74%, and thermal equilibrium of crude TiCl4 preparation from titanium slag were investigated. The results show that temperature of molten salts and mixed furnace can be controlled at 740~770 ℃ and 350~501 ℃ respectively, through reasonable adjustment of volume of mud return amount when crude titanium tetrachloride output is 100 t/d. Crude TiCl4 with average solid content of 4.06~4.1 g/L is obtained.
