Abstract:
Waste printed circuit boards (WPCBs) bearing Cu 6.54%, Au 3.2 g/t and Ag 32.7 g/t were treated in self-developed top blowing furnace. Effects of slag type, temperature, air volume and fuel quantity on copper content and copper recovery rate in blister copper were explored. The results show that content of Cu, Au and Ag in blister copper is 90.25%, 45.5 g/t and 445.6 g/t respectively, and total recovery rate of Cu, Au and Ag is 95% above under the conditions including SiO2/FeO≈1.35, SiO2/CaO≈2, temperature of 1 250 ℃, and process air volume of spray gun of 450 m3 (standard status) and diesel oil of 100 L for 100 kg WPCBs. Furthermore, flue gas can be discharged up to standard. Treatment of WPCBs by top blowing furnace has the advantages of high recovery rate of valuable metals, feasibility and good industrialization prospects.
