| Abstract: |
| The 14 m2 fluidized bed roaster and supporting facilities were used to carry out oxygen enrichment roasting industrial test of zinc concentrates. Bed capacity of zinc concentrate in fluidized bed roaster, qualities improvement of calcine and dust were studied and economic benefit of oxygen enrichment roasting was calculated under the conditions including roasting temperature of ≤980 ℃, air volume of about 6 000 m3/h(standard state), hearth pressure of 15-20 kPa, and oxygen concentration of 20.8%-24%. The results show that application of oxygen enrichment roasting can expand raw material for zinc smelting enterprises. Compared with conventional roasting, bed capacity rises 37.83%, total sulfur of calcine drops from 2.6% to 1.84%, and insoluble sulfur drops from 1.1% to 0.56%. Product quality improves significantly, and the calculated economic benefit is 1.57 million RMB/a. |
