Abstract:
Separation of tantalum and hafnium in HF system tends to cause environmental pollution. Separation of tantalum and hafnium from alloy slag containing tantalum and hafnium by roasting and leaching with concentrated sulfuric acid was studied. The results show that tantalum and hafnium can be effectively separated under the conditions including mass ratio of alloy slag to sodium carbonate of 1︰1, roasting temperature of 1 000 ℃, liquid-solid ratio of concentrated sulfuric acid to alloy slag of 1︰1, and leaching time of 1 h.
