| Abstract: |
| In order to improve wetting property of coal tar pitch, chemical structure and pyrolysis characteristics of extracts extracted by toluene, benzene and xylene from modified asphalt were investigated by FT-IR combined with TG-DTG. The results show that infrared spectra and TG-DTG curves of three solvent extracts are basically similar. It can be considered that three extracts are basically similar. Modified asphalts are prepared by mixing different proportions of asphalt with three extracts to investigate effects of extraction method and content of γ-resin on softening point, coking value and wetting property of modified asphalt. The results show that softening point and coking value of modified asphalt drop with increase of extract content. Transformation time of contact angel fall to 0° drops. Three kinds of extracts will reduce softening point and coking value of modified asphalt and improve wetting performance of coal tar pitch. |
