Abstract:
      Vertical mold filling process of copper anode plate was studied by numerical simulation based on Solidworks and Anycasting platforms. Temperature change, molding state, solidification mode, and shrinkage cavity condition of anode plate during casting molding process were analyzed. Surface molding and quality of anode plate were predicted by relevant principles of metal solidification. Two auxiliary casting models, i.e., funnel auxiliary pouring gate and trapezoidal auxiliary pouring gate, were specially designed. The results show that the funnel auxiliary pouring gate is more reasonable in practice. This study will be beneficial to the further development and improvement of copper anode plate mold casting process.
