Abstract:
      In order to explore cooling rate of vacuum suction casting cooling system, Fluent software was used to model and analyze influence rule of spiral guide plate""s pitch, inlet temperature and inlet velocity on cooling rate of spiral guide plate, and experiment was carried out for verification. The results show that cooling rate drops with increase of inlet flow temperature and drop of inlet flow velocity, and it rises first and then drops with increase of screw pitch. The best cooling effect is obtained under the conditions including screw pitch of spiral plate of 35 mm, inlet velocity of 1.345 m/s, and inlet temperature of 283.15 K. The simulation results are in good agreement with the measured results.
