Abstract:
Production practice of oxygen pressure leaching process for zinc sulfide concentrates showed that if sulfation degree of sulfur components is not strictly controlled, acid expansion of zinc smelting system will occur and technical and economic indexes will be affected. To address phenomenon of high acid radical in oxygen pressure leaching system, effects of final acid concentration of second stage, reaction temperature, oxygen partial pressure and leaching time on acidification of sulfur components and zinc leaching rate in oxygen pressure leaching process are explored. Zinc leaching rate is 98% above and sulfation rate is only about 10% under the optimum cal conditions.
