| Abstract: |
| Industrial copper slag was modified by mixing industrial magnesium slag with a certain proportion. The modified slag was magnetic separated. Analysis on mineral phase changes in mixed slag before and after modification was carried out by XRD, SEM analysis and thermodynamic calculation. The results show that composite modification of copper slag and magnesium slag can effectively transform iron-rich phase of iron olivine into ferromagnetic magnesia spinel in copper slag, and the latter can be effectively separated by magnetic separation. Decrease of alkalinity is favorable for formation of magnesium iron spinel in mixed slag but is not favorable for silicate. The optimum setting of basicity in the experimental range is 2.05. Magnetic separation yield and recovery of mixed slag are 65.32% and 79.34%, respectively, and content of silicate phase in tailings after magnetic separation is relatively high. |
