Abstract:
During molybdenum concentrate roasting, concomitant rhenium (Re) tends to volatilize into flue gas. Re volatilization rate varies with different molybdenum concentrates roasting equipment. Content of Re was tested in different materials including roasting product, dust and spent waste acid, etc. Key factors affecting volatilization rate of Re were analyzed. The results show that average volatilization rate of Re during roasting is 27.3%. Re content in cloth bag dust is 142.4 g/t, accounting for 10.2% of total Re quantity. Re content in spent waste acid is 7.7 mg/L, accounting for 5.0% of total Re quantity. Oxidation degree of roasting product is the key factor affecting Re volatilization rate. Low operating temperature in cloth bag dust collecting process is the main cause of lots of Re enters into spent waste acid.
