Abstract:
To address waste of vanadium resources in wastewater from vanadium-titanium magnetite during direct neutralization with lime, recovery of vanadium from vanadium-bearing wastewater of vanadium-titanium magnetite with solvent extraction by N235 was studied. Effects of extractant concentration, phase ratio, initial pH value and stripping agent concentration on vanadium extraction and stripping were investigated. The results show that vanadium-rich solution with 28.83 g/L vanadium concentration is obtained by four-stage countercurrent extraction and five-stage countercurrent stripping. After hydrolysis-precipitation and calcination, YB/T 5304—2017 Metallurgical Grade 98 V2O5 product can be obtained. Total recovery of vanadium is 96.97%. In production, vanadium-rich solution with similar vanadium concentration can be combined with acid leaching solution to hydrolyze and precipitate vanadium, thus realizing closed-circuit cycle of vanadium metal and improving total recovery of vanadium.
