| Abstract: |
| Aiming at inaccuracy of basic physical parameters such as raw material briquette density, specific heat and thermal conductivity in calculation and analysis of magnesium production with silicothermic process. The basic physical parameters were experimentally tested by Simultaneous Thermal Analysis (STA) and Laser Flash Apparatus (LFA), and effects of temperature, forming pressure, silicon ratio and other factors on physical parameters were investigated. The results show that thermal conductivity of calcined dolomite briquettes and raw material briquettes drops with increase of temperature, while it rises significantly with the increase of forming pressure. |
