Abstract:
During high temperature chlorination roasting of gold smelting slag, gold was volatilized into dust in the form of chloride. The dust was sprayed in cooling tower to form acid leaching solution with gold concentration of 1.21 mg/L. Gold was recovered from acid leaching solution with solvent extraction. Effects of extractant types, extractant concentration, extraction ratio, extraction temperature and time on gold extraction rate were discussed. The results show that gold extraction rate is 99.01% under the conditions including extractant concentration of dibutyl carbitol of 90%, O/A=1/4, room temperature, oscillation rate of 1 600 r/min, and time of 10 minutes. Sponge gold can be obtained by stripping with oxalic acid.
