| Abstract: |
| Response surface methodology was applied to optimize extracting process parameters to recover selenium from electrolytic manganese anolyte by iron-carbon micro-electrolysis technology. Stirring speed, reaction time, and ratio of iron/carbon were selected as three independent variables on selenium extraction rate as response. The results show that effect sequence of factors on selenium extraction rate is stirring rate, iron/carbon ratio, and reaction time. Interaction between two of three factors was weak. The optimum extracting process parameters include stirring speed of 199 r/min, reaction time of 192 min, and ratio of iron/carbon of 1.94 g/g. Under these conditions, selenium extraction rate is 96.34%, which is not significantly different from value of 96.52% predicted by the model. |
