Abstract:
      Narrow-band internet of things (NB-IoT) technology is successfully applied to energy measurement, safety and environmental protection monitoring system of copper smelting for the first time in the first phase of Guixi Smelter Intelligent Factory Construction Project. Its technical advantages of wide coverage, low power consumption and low cost are preliminarily revealed. Based on analysis of monitoring requirements and environment of existing parameters and indicators in whole copper smelting process, combined with advantages of NB-IoT, several typical applications with high compatibility are selected, and their feasibility is analyzed and discussed in order to broaden application ideas of this technology in copper smelting process.
