Abstract: |
Myanmar rare earth ores and Fujian rare earth ores were studied by column leaching method. Ore properties and effects of ammonium acetate concentration on leaching of light, medium and heavy rare-earth were investigated. The results show that Myanmar rare earth ores and Fujian rare earth ores belong to middle yttrium type middle heavy rare earth ore and europium-rich light rare earth ore respectively and there were negative anomalies of cerium and europium. Leaching efficiency of rare earth rises with addition of ammonium acetate. The optimum addition concentration of ammonium acetate is 0.04 mol/L, rare earth leaching efficiency rises to 95%, and then reach the leaching equilibrium. Ammonium acetate mainly enhances leaching of lanthanum, which leads to drop of ratio of light and medium heavy rare earth in Myanmar rare earth ores from 1.04 to 0.98 and in Fujian rare earth ores from 1.65 to 1.47. Ammonium acetate can significantly improve leaching of medium and heavy rare earth. |
