| Abstract: |
| Qualified high purity manganese carbonate was prepared from manganese-bearing stripping solution through iron removal by goethite, removal of heavy metals by sulfurization, carbonization, and washing. Effects of pH value of end point and reaction temperature on iron removal rate, and (NH4)2S dosage, reaction temperature and time on heavy metal removal rate were investigated. The results show that residual iron concentration is 1.5 mg/L below under the conditions including pH value of end point of 4.0, reaction temperature of 95 ℃. Residual concentration of Zn, Ni, and Co is less than 1 mg/L under the conditions including (NH4)2S dosage of 2.2 times of theoretical amount, reaction temperature of 35 ℃, and reaction time of 60 min. High-purity manganese carbonate, prepared at pH value of 7.0-7.2 adjusted by NH4HCO3, filtration and washing, meets the first-class product standard of HG/T 2836—2011. Manganese recovery rate is 93.9%. |
