Abstract:
With P204 as extractant and sulfonated kerosene as diluent, manganese was separated from cobalt and nickel bearing solution by two-step extraction and enriched by organic reverse extraction. Effects of factors on Mn extraction rate and separation coefficient were conducted and the optimum conditions were obtained. The results show that Mn extraction rate at room temperature is 62.39% at first stage under the conditions including O/A=2.5, P204 concentration of 30%, pH value of 3.5, and saponification rate of 30%. Total Mn extraction rate of two-step extraction is 98.06% and separation coefficient of Mn to Co and Ni is 90.11 and 92.33 respectively under the conditions including P204 concentration of 30%, saponification rate of 30%, and O/A=2. 85% above of Co and Ni is washed away by 70 g/L sulfuric acid with O/A=10. 98.27% manganese is stripped from Co-Ni-washed solution by 110 g/L sulfuric acid with O/A=4. Both concentration of Co and Ni in strip solution is 0.5 g/L below.
