| Abstract: |
| The Tawendaliha site in Dulan County, Qinghai Province is an important site of Nomuhong culture, which belongs to the late Bronze Age site in Gansu-Qinghai area. 37 bronze artifacts from Tawendaliha site were in preliminary examination by SEM-EDS and metallographic examination. The results show that these samples include 19 red copper and 17 Cu-Sn alloys. Processing technologies of bronze artifacts include casting, hot forging after casting, and cold processing after casting, etc. The tool bronze artifacts such as copper knife were made by hot or cold forging after casting, other bronze artifacts were made by casting. This is the first time that the bronze artifacts of Nomuhong culture are scientifically analyzed. This study can provide a basis to study manufacturing technology of bronze artifacts of Nomuhong culture. |
