| Abstract: |
| Recently, China""s metallurgical archaeological research has developed rapidly and achieved a series of achievements. Achievements of Chinese metallurgical archaeology in the past year based on the research period were summarized. The research fields involved include origin of metallurgy, composition of bronze alloys and source of mineral materials, casting technology of bronzes, manufacturing process of ceramics, inlaying technology of bronzes, iron production technology, gilding technology, copper granulation craft, and zinc smelting technology, etc. Finally, current status of metallurgical archaeological research in China was summarized and development of future research methods and database construction were prospected. |
