| Abstract: |
| River water was treated by modified magnetic seed magnetic-activated carbon composite adsorption material combined with magnetic separation method. Influences of flocculant type and dosage, modified magnetic seed dosage, action time and magnetic field intensity on removal rate of COD were discussed. The results show that with modified magnetic seed, high gradient magnetic separation is effective to treat COD in river inflow water. Under the conditions of PAC dosage of 10 g/L, modified magnetic seed dosage of 30 g/L, modified magnetic seed action time of 20 min and separation magnetic field strength of 8 000 kA/m, COD content in effluent drops from 90.18 mg/L of raw water to 6.59 mg/L, and COD removal rate is 92.69%, which meets the class I water COD standard in the environmental quality standard for surface water (GB 3838—2002). |
