| Abstract: |
| Production experiment of TiCl4 was carried out with mixture of coke and dry distillation coal as reductant. Change of production parameters during producing TiCl4 by dry distillation coke was investigated. The results show that with increase of proportion of dry distillation coal in mixture of coal and coke, there is no significant difference in consumption of titanium slag and sodium chloride, and temperature of molten salt in chlorination furnace and temperature of flue gas of furnace roof are all within control range. It is feasible to apply dry distillation coal in chlorination of molten salt and reduce production cost. In order to avoid high temperature of molten salt, molten salt temperature can be controlled at 730-750 ℃ when ratio of dry distillation coal to petroleum coke is more than 5︰5, and 720-760 ℃ for 100% dry distillation coal. Moderate sodium chloride can be added to enhance fluidity of molten salt. |
