| Abstract: |
| With strict requirement of battery industry for quality of manganese sulfate products, purification of manganese sulfate during production improves gradually. Effects of different forms of MnS on purification and removal of heavy metals in industrial grade manganese sulfate were compared. Effects of reaction temperature, reaction time, pH value and amount of new ecological MnS on purification were investigated by control variable method. The results show that new ecological MnS is better than powdered MnS. The optimum conditions of purification with new ecological MnS include dosage of new ecological MnS of 6 g/L, pH value of 3.6, reaction temperature of 80 ℃, and reaction time of 1.5 h, under these conditions, content of Fe, Cu, Zn and Pb in manganese sulfate solution is 0.3, 0, 0.3, and 6.5 μg/L, which meet the standards of battery-level manganese sulfate. |
