Abstract:
Effects of static condition and stirring condition on dissolution rate and amount of TiO2 in Na3AlF6-AlF3-CaF2 molten salt system were studied by isothermal saturation method. The samples of molten salt treated by air cooling and water quenching were analyzed by X-ray diffraction. The results show that TiO2 dissolved amount under static condition rises with prolongation of dissolution time, and dissolution amount is 2.33% at 120 min when the temperature of molten salt is 960 ℃ while, it is 5.33% under stirring condition. XRD analysis shows that titanium dioxide exists in form of TiO2 phase in molten salt system.
