Abstract:
Bagasse pretreated with alkali and alcohol was carboxylation modified with glutaric dialdehyde as cross-linking agent and pyromellitic dianhydride(PMDA) as modifying agent, and it was used to adsorb lead in waster water of metallurgy. The results show that the optimum modification parameters of bagasse include dosage of glutaric dialdehyde of 1%, dosage of PMDA of 5%, L/S=8 (mL/g), and modifying temperature of 60 ℃. The IR shows that benzene ring and carboxyl group are introduced into bagasse, and bagasse is successfully modified. SEM shows that the modified bagasse forms cross-linking which has high BET surface area. Lead adsorption rate is 98.8% under the optimum adsorption conditions including adsorption time of 2.0 h, adsorption temperature of 20 ℃, pH value of solution of 4, and the initial concentration of Pb in solution of 70 mg/L.
