| Abstract: |
| Experiments for increasing the stability of the diluted slurry following digestion of gibbsitic bauxite were carried out from two aspects of decreasing the supersaturation of alumina in liquor by increasing the αk and the Na2OK of diluted slurry, and changing the composition of red mud by adding a certain amount of lime during Bayer digestion. The test results show that for the bauxite used in the experiments, the stability of diluted slurry succeeding digestion can be effectively improved by properly increasing the α K of Bayer digestion and the Na2OK of diluted slurry, and adding a small amount of lime in the digestion process. And then a foundation had been laid for reducing the hydrolysis loss of alumina in the red mud separation process. |
