| Abstract: |
| Low-temperature sulfuric acid roasting and high-temperature sulfuric acid roasting were carried out to deal with high-iron content RE concentrate. The results show that under the optimized low-temperature sulfuric acid roasting-leaching process conditions, leaching rate of rare earth, thorium and iron is 96.94%, 97.36% and 92.71%, respectively. Under the optimized high-temperature sulfuric acid roasting-leaching process conditions, leaching rate of rare earth, thorium and iron is 90.15%, 42.10%, and 12.44%, respectively. Low-temperature sulfuric acid roasting–leaching process obtains high iron leachate (Fe ~23 g/L, pH<0.5) with which it is difficult to recover RE. However, iron content in high-temperature sulfuric acid roasting leachate is low (Fe ~2.3 g/L). RE recovery process from low iron leachate is relatively short and wastewater is easier to treat. |
