| Abstract: |
| Based on comprehensive analysis of mineral phase composition of spodumene concentrate, OLI Analyzer software was used to simulate multiphase equilibrium of hydrothermal decomposition reaction of spodumene in LiAlSi2O6-K2CO3-H2O system. The simulation results show that β-spodumene is thermodynamically easy to react with K2CO3 to produce merlinoite and lithium carbonate. K2CO3 can be converted completely when added in K+/Li+≥1.4. The hydrothermal experiment results show that leaching rate of lithium in spodumene is 96.43% under the optimum conditions including dosage of K2CO3 of K+/Li+=1.5, reaction temperature of 240 ℃, reaction time of 120 min, and mass ratio of water to solid of 4. The composition of products are mainly merlinoite and lithium carbonate, which is consistent with the simulation results. |
