| Abstract: |
| Electrolytic purification expansion experiments were carried out on crude nickel prepared by electric furnace reduction smelting of nickel and cobalt concentrates. The results show that cathode current efficiency is 98.5%, current efficiency of impure nickel anode dissolution is 85%. Physical condition of electrolytic nickel products obtained is good, surface is smooth, and chemical composition reaches the national standard of Ni 9999 electric nickel. Electricity consumption of one ton electrolytic nickel is about 1 850 kWh/t under the conditions including cell voltage of 1.8—2.2 V and current density of 220 A/m2. Anolyte can be directly returned to electrolysis recycled as catholyte through neutralization process for deferrization, removing copper by sulphation process, removing cobalt by chloride process, and removing zinc by ion-exchange resin. |
