| Abstract: |
| Mathematical simulation of an electric furnace with self bonded lining was carried out. Temperature field in furnace and variation of thickness of self bonded lining were studied by changing temperature of external water wall. The simulation results show that with increase of water wall temperature, melting of materials in furnace increases, and thickness and height of self bonded lining decrease. When water wall temperature rises by 10 ℃, the maximum thickness of self bonded lining drops by 1.2 mm, the minimum thickness of self bonded lining drops by 0.9 mm, height of molten pool rises by 0.4 mm, and height of self bonded lining drops by 0.2 mm. |
