Abstract:
To address low leaching rate of low-grade uranium ore during traditional acid leaching process, microwave chlorination roasting pretreatment leaching test was carried out. Effects of chlorination agent type and dosage, microwave roasting temperature and time on uranium leaching rate were investigated. The results show that uranium leaching rate is 85.15% under the conditions including uranium content of ore of 0.0842%, ferric chloride addition of 25%, roasting temperature of 310 ℃, and roasting time of 60 min. Uranium leaching rate rises by 17.64% compared with acid leaching process. After microwave chlorination roasting, ore structure is destroyed, micro-cracks and pores are produced, which promote contact reaction between leaching agent and uranium, thus, improving leaching rate of uranium.
