| Abstract: |
| In high-intensity smelting operation of a commercial flash furnace, samples were taken of suspension particles from reaction shaft exit, and slag and matte melt from settler at several positions in it. All the samples were subjected to chemical and instrumental analysis. Metallurgical processes and their characteristics in settler, formation process of slag and matte, declining of Fe3O4 and copper in slag, and etc. were investigated. Effective ways were proposed to intensify the metallurgical processes in settler, to improve furnace operation and optimize furnace design. By studying copper in slag in settler and its mineral phases, effective ways were discussed to reduce copper content in slag. |
