Abstract:
Taking a siliceous vanadium ore in Shaanxi province as research object, exploration experiments of single sulfuric acid leaching, sulfuric acid assisted leaching, blank roasting-leaching, sulfuric acid slaking-normal temperature water leaching vanadium extraction process were carried out. It was determined that sulfuric acid slaking-normal temperature water leaching process was more suitable for siliceous vanadium ore. Effects of curing temperature, curing time, curing sulfuric acid and water dosage, ore particle size, and leaching temperature on vanadium leaching rate were investigated. The results show that leaching rate of vanadium is about 78% under the conditions including curing sulfuric acid dosage of 15%, curing water dosage of 10%, curing temperature of 130 ℃, curing time of 4 h, raw ore particle size of -8 mm, clinker leaching liquid to solid ratio of 1.5, and leaching time at room temperature of 3 h. Leaching temperature has little effect on vanadium leaching rate. The process of "curing - column leaching (heap leaching)" can be used to extract vanadium from this siliceous vanadium ore.
