| Abstract: |
| Gothite slag is one kind of solid waste, which has high recovery value for utilization. A novel process to extract valuable metals such as zinc, indium, and ferrous from gothite slag by chloride roasting combined with magnetic separation was proposed. First, contents of metals and dissemination characteristics of gothite slag were determined by MLA. Then, effect factors were systemically studied in chloride roasting, volatilization rate of zinc and indium is 72.11% and 94.32% respectively under the optimum condition including CaCl2 addition of 20%, addition of carbon powder of 40%, particle size of 10~20 mm, chloride roasting temperature of 1 000 ℃, and roasting time of 4 h. Finally, chloride roasting residue was crushed, milled and separated by high-intensity and low-intensity magnetic field for producing iron ore concentrate with Fe content of 50.74%. This study will provide theoretical and experimental fundamentals for recovering zinc, indium and ferrous from gothite slag. |
